Man, I have been playing a shit load of SFZA and was wondering what the differences were between it and the regular SFZ2 game.

Anyone care to input?

On another note, it's good to be back. My email got fucked, so I had to reregister. :buttrock:

Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha?

In the states it's Street Fighter Alpha (1, 2, and 3), and in Japan it's Street Fighter Zero (1, 2, and 3). Zero Alpha is redundant - they're the same thing if I'm not mistaken.

I think Zero 2 Alpha was only released in Asia and Japan. The diffrence that I notice are that the characters have more costume colors and some of the backgrounds are diffrent in color.

Help?

GAMESPOT SEZ:
This upgraded version of Street Fighter Alpha 2 was only released in Japanese arcades. It eventually came to the US in a console compilation under the name Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold.
COIN-OP MUSEUM SEZ:
A Japanese only upgrade. Contains more characters, moves and hidden modes.

Several characters have alternate versions of themselves, each having different characteristics and moves. This is done by highlighting the particular characters and pressing Start the number of times shown below..

Is this the same game that was released on one of the U.S. Street Fighter collections for PSOne? If so it was known as Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold.

If so I believe Guy has an extra super in that game. QCB, QCB + P, maybe more then one punch button.. dont recall exactly.

I think Sakura has an evil version of herself in there too, Press start on her 5 times or something like that.

Play as Cammy in Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold:

Finish the game in Arcade mode as M. Bison(Vega in Japan) and get the highest score. Enter the initials CAM at the high-score screen and save the data. Load the saved data, then at the fighter-select screen, put the cursor over M. Bison and press Start twice in Versus mode.

There are also some added moves, tweaks, and other things...

SFZ2A also has CE Ken, Dhalsim, and Zangief...they have Champ Ed move properties but NO super bar. Sakura has an added move (weird hopping punch), Guy has a Super Bushin Death Level 3 super, and Chun-Li's Axe Kick was slowed down greatly. Also, Alpha Counters cost 1.5 Levels of super bar, as opposed to 1 level.

The arcade versions of Street Fighter ZERO and Street Fighter Alpha were essentially the same. However, Street Fighter Alpha 2 (the English-language version) had a number of features not included in (the Japanese-language version) Street Fighter ZERO 2 -- most notably, Satsui no Hadou ni mezameta Ryu, Shin Gouki, and the EX versions of several other characters. To make up for this, CAPCOM released the Japanese-only Street Fighter ZERO 2 ALPHA. In addition to the missing extra characters, additional/new attack techniques, and miscellaneous tweaking/tuning mentioned by Loopz, SFZ2A also had an expanded version of the Dramatic Battle feature. When Street Fighter ZERO 2' (' = "dash") -- known as Street Fighter Alpha Gold in English -- was released to the consoles, it was based on SFZ2A, minus the Dramatic Battle feature, but with "Killer Bee" Cammy added as an unlockable versus mode character.

Looks like I'll have to track down a CPS2 board of Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha to finish the series then...

Fuck, I can't stop playing this game! I beat the dramatic Battle , but I still can't beat Shin Akuma. He is totally unstoppable.

Good luck on finding your own board, Chief.

Thanks everyone for the info.
