Neo Geo CD Drive won't spin, any help ?

Hy,

i have 2 neo geo cd units. one ist working great, the other one has a prob with the cd unit. when you put on the console the laser lense moves up and down,
but the cd does not start spinnig. any ideas how to fix this prob ?

Most of the time, the Neo-Geo CD has problems with the CD lenses. It usually burns out; there are kits available to replace it. The problem you are having is different, and it will require a new CD-Rom drive. The motor that spins the CD is apparently dead, and I don’t believe it can be fixed. Actually, come to think of it -- you might want to contact Jeff Kurtz, our resident Neo-Geo tech. He has been known to work miracles in the past -- maybe he has a spare drive or the appropriate parts lying around his workshop somewhere. His e-mail is: jmkurtz@columbus.rr.com

I'd defiantly try to get it fixed before just tossing it out. If anyone can fix it Jeff can.
