Here we are again , yet another hurricane to upset out stomachs and this one comes on MY BIRTHDAY !

Once again I am staying with my folks in Mid Hollywood just south of Fort Lauderdale . the storms center is supposed to make landfall around midnight tonight but weather will start degrading quickly after 3PM .

The storm just inched up a bit on the last radar track its supposed to turn into northern florida sometime shortly after landfall if not before .

I am worried about all Florida members and Georgia members too please keep tight tabs on this thread with any signifigant info about your particular situation .

I wish you guys luck
Please do the same for me .

I was going to go home today, but since its going to hit where I live later on today, I have to wait till tommorow, which sucks.

They need to build a storm bubble over florida :emb:

Hope youre house is okay after, what is this, the 8th hurricane in two weeks?

Seems that way eh ?

You think you got it bad ...my wife is in England ...she was supposed to be home wednesday but some fucker stole her purse with her passport in it so she had to get a temporary one from the US embassy......she did and she was supposed to fly back today ....but now she cant because of the hurricane .

I have not seen my wife since the 8th...I miss her badly and cant even spend my birthday with her .

BTW Happy b-day Retrogamer, I'm still Youkai, just got bored with the name and changed it to a FF3/6 reference.

Anyway, look on the bright side, this unpleasant turn of events just might spare you the grief of realizing something happening to your wife on the plane back. I'm sure that when she comes back, better late than never, she'll try to make it up to you by celebrating your late birthday bigger than you expected.

Even though I'm in Virginia, there was supposed to be a gaming convention like this Friday (www.magfest.org). Even though the radar on the weather channel looks less dense than from FA to South Carolina which means a possible downgrade to Tropcial Depression by the time it hits my backyard, I still get a feeling something's gonna crash it.

lolz ... some Kerry supporter called in to c-span to say that hurricanes were pummeling FL because of the unjust war in Iraq - and that it was God's way of sending the Bushs' a message. I guess there are religious wackos on both sides ...

I blame Bush for the hurricanes.

But other than that, they sort of passed over us with alot of wind and stuff.

Y'know, for some strange reaosn-that's more than likely beyond my understanding- every hurricane has hit nearly each part of the state......except for Tallahassee and the Big Bend Area. Time after time, these storms will nudge the area where I'm at or just miss it completely. The closest storm we've had was Ivan and my dumbass decided to head west and go fishing the day school was closed, towards Ivan! But in any event, I hope all the Floridians on the board are doing well during this season of sorts, and happy birthday, Retrogamer.
