To tell you the truth I wasn't looking forward to online play as this game doesn't need it. There is enough single player here to keep you busy for months. Its only games like PGR2 that need online because the single player is pointless. On the other hand for those people that need online maybe there will be system link.

Online play was just an added bonus for this title IMO. Yeah, it would've been great if they included it, but I'm still going to buy it regardless.

Besides, with Halo 2 coming out the same month, I think I know where my time gaming online is going to be spent.

Played the demo for GT4, not a single graphical improvement or otherwise. I'm now in total agreement that GT SUCKS.

Burnout 3 is incredible.

Yet another disappointment from Sony!

They're just making things easier and easier for Microsoft! :tickled:

Truly spoken like someone who NEVER played it.

PGR2 was an awesome game in single player, and the online mode only enhanced it by constantly updating your times/performance/kudos against everyone else playing it worldwide. Not only that, but the damn thing was fun and insanely beautiful. RalliSport 2 was an even better effort with some of the best physics around. XBox may lack in a number of categories, but it's got the racing crown down pat. Racing against online opponents is such a natural extension of these games, you have to be sniffing glue to overlook such a feature.

Sony is all hat and no cattle...sky-high promises, with product launches that hit with a resounding thud. These folks are so destined to bite it the next round. Remember, no console maker has ever won three successive generations. These folks can't even come up with a solid release date for PSP, or even talk about what the friggin' battery life is going to be.

This is what's going to make me sell off my PS2. But I'm still keeping my copy of Rez. :p
And not sonic, those people who make those "the game is allready perfect without it, it doesnt need online" posts also make those "Gran Turismo doesn't need Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis" posts. At least Forza is going to have two of the three mentioned... I wonder why MS can't get the Lamborghini license...

Meh, I never understood the attraction to GT anyway. Too much realism = boring as shit.
