According to Iggy from Madman's Cafe, Jack Turner, Gandara, Suija, the green dinosaur from King of the Monsters, Goenitz, the boss from Mutation Nation, and Miss X have been confirmed for the game.


Also, SNK Playmore's website has updated with a press release confirming the ports of their classic NeoGeo games.

I was so surprised at the ports that didn't notice the Colosseum fighters...

Most of them are pretty unpopular... Is Jack Turner the fat bastard of AoF? I can't even remember who are Gandara, Suija and Miss X :emb:

why playmore removed te BEST backgrounds from all kof's¿¿
if there aren't hi res sprites this game will suck ass (shingo with flames puagh)

are NGBC characters confirmed so far? mmmh sorry, who are sujia and gandara?

Actually I think he may have been kidding...but I'm not quite sure.

Gandara is from the 3D Samurai Shodown games for the HNG64, and is a large purple hulk of a thing. Suija is from those games as well as Samurai Shodown 5 (Sogetsu's alternate god possessed version).

Rebout looks like a shame. No stage referees, Neo-Wave like backgrounds where everyone but the KOF characters died in a massive holocaust, use of the original and rather bad character portraints on the HUD, garish life bars. It just looks like they took '94 and plastered some nice but horribly empty and boring looking backgrounds to it.

And assuming (still I need more confirmation) the new characters for NGBC are true:

After some research, Gandara is a mid-boss from Samurai Spirits 2 on HNG64, and Miss X is Drag Queen Iori from Gals Fighters (NGPC)... :eek_2: Kudos to Playmore for such a great and funny idea. Many people was concerned about Iori being here as always, but putting him this way is just cool

iggy from madmans in the same post talks about the "new" charas from NGBC and shingo with flames....now i think (and hope) he only was kidding

those SNK ports...when? anyone knows¿¿

those characters for nbc are a joke apparently.

the real ones with pics (on mmcafe, thanks iggy) are iori, kyo, akari, kaede, a robot from kotm, haomaru, rock and there seems to be another girl though iggy didnt list her (or im mistaken..). shes next to rock...

thats an extra 8 and they seem to be taken from the new arcadia. the roster just got more mundane imo. fucking kyo, fucking iori, fucking haomaru, fucking kaede.

hope theres at least another 8 or so....

Can somebody identify the chick between Kaede and Kyo? It looks like Vaness from KoF to me, but most likely I'm wrong.

Anyway most of that fighters are the usual big tymers, I almost prefer the fake ones :(

at least a Kaede VS. Haomaru match is kinda cool.

other than that, i would have preferred more out of left field choices, but eh, guess SNKP thinks the game won't be as popular without all their hero types thrown in.

Damn. 94 rebout looks absolutely horrible.

Anyway, from a fighter standpoint Lee Reka would have been a much better choice than Washizuka for NGBC.
i'm also still waiting for magician lord. Not including him would definitely bring this game down a notch.

It would also be great to see:

Koruko
Roddy or cathy (from top hunter)
The two main characters from KI (the one with the staff and the one with the boomerrang).

Incorrect. If you have not noticed it is a circus. This is neo geo battle COLISEUM. As long as cool and interesting characters make the jump from thier other games and get good sprite and move treatment than it's all good.

Ugg. I hope that we see more pics of 94 rebout and they don't look as bad as those ones do... soon. The one shown here looks like Mugen to me, bad Mugen, because some Mugen looks good... :P

They said "we're gonna show surprising characters"... yeah.

I hate Kyo and Iori, hope they'll kill each other someday,
