Bogus Journey is the better of the two.

A dumb movie written by smart people :D

Bill : Ted, you know, if I die, you can have my Megadeth collection.
Ted : But dude, we're already dead.
Bill : Oh. Well then they're yours, dude.

i swear i just read this exact sentence in a review...maybe you wrote it?

anyways, the historical angle is what made excellent adventure so excellent for me. I think my preference for the original film comes from being dissapointed that bogus journey WASN'T the same type of time-travelling story as the first. But that was years and years ago; now i give the writers and filmmakers props for going a different route. Shit, a lot of bogus journey was probably over my head the first time i saw it...time for another viewing probably.

I first read that phrase in a review for "Buckaroo Banzai", while I can't remember hearing it anywhere else (that isn't absolute), I use it a lot. I wouldn't be surprised to hear its used more often, and I certainly would use it for "Bogus Journey"

Repin's "Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan" from the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. Owns you all.

And I think that's Davey in the other one?

Don't worry, mortals. I change my sig constantly.

"Death" giving someone a "melvin" > life itself.

thats was fucking classic. I also love the part where they are playing sharades (sp?) and death yells out the answer: "butch cassidy and the sundance kid.....the early years".

absolutely, it's a perfect description.

the review i was referring to made the comparison with some of today's teen comedies, which are dumb movies about dumb people, versus bill and ted, a smart movie about dumb people.

Excellent Adventure is a smart movie too IMO. I mean, i learned who Socrates WAS from it. A little scary, but true.

I vote for DanAdamKOF, its very neat and precise, and also has a link to more sig material.

He has OCD for his sig.
