I need to clear some room for a new astro city cabinet that I have arriving in a few weeks time. As a result I have to sell my beloved Neo-Geo 6-slot cabinet that I bought off Busterbroon a few years ago. I am just testing the water . Its available for pick up only- I'm about one hour away from London. If you are interested then PM me an offer.

Pics see here: http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?showtopic=57231

For sale: Neo-Geo 6–slot SNK branded MVS cabinet. This is one of the sought after genuine SNK branded cabinets manufactured by Electrocoin and emblazoned with all the official SNK decals. Its a beautiful cabinet that was only available in the UK. Many would describe it as the best looking and highest quality Jamma cabinet ever manufactured in the UK. The SNK branding adds to its intrinsic value to both the collector and enthusiast. The last of these cabinets was sold of by Vektorlogic over a year ago for £399 and since their price has escalated on the market. The cabinet is in excellent condition and has been very well looked after. It is Jamma wired and comes with a Neo-Geo 6-slot board. I have used the cabinet to play an ST-V and Jamma boards with no problems as well- all the connectors are sensibly wired up and there are no issues with any buttons.

This is a 2-player cabinet, each player having four buttons. The cabinet is complete but does not have the memory card reader that some 6-slot cabinets had on the front section. A memory card reader could be bought and put in the cab very cheaply but is only really relevant for players who own a Neo-geo AES system. The Neo-geo lights up strikingly.

The 6-slot board could be described as temperamental and needs a thorough clean. Some of the slots are more reliable than others and some often don’t seem to work at all. As a result I would sell the board as part of the cab but described as “in need of repair”. This will reduce the price of the cab but seeing as 4 and 6 slot boards are very cheap and extremely easy to get hold of it should not be an issue to any but the laziest of buyer. Indeed, if you are confident at cleaning PCBs you may well have it working as new very quickly. When I first bought the 6-slot, the board was in perfect working order but, as far as I can tell, a combination of dust and dirt from carts have caused the graphical glitches. I don’t want any buyer to be disappointed which is why I’m being transparent about this.

The monitor and Jamma connectors are working perfectly as I have tested it this week with an ST-V board and there are no issues at all. While there is no doubt that this is a collector’s cabinet it would also be a very good looking alternative for a buyer just looking for a plain quality Jamma cabinet. As you can see from the photos this is a very good looking bit of kit and is infinitly more attractive than the glut of ugly smoke stained Jamma cabs on ebay.

I have a selection of MVS games that I could throw in a deal including the sought after and valuable Kizuna Encounter and Ninja Masters.

Cheers

goz

No offence bud (and i mean this sincerely )- but thank fuck your selling that in favour of the Astro - I HATE UK arcade cabinets with UK arcade parts, especially electrocoin cabs.
I do however hope you get a good price on it tho i know there are quite alot of people who DO like that particular style of cabinet and they do prove to be pretty hardwearing. Nice to see another dedicated Neo cab too :buttrock:

Yea- these are very popular cabs as you don't need to take a big import hit and they are BY FAR the nicest UK made cabs you can get from that era

The fact they are neo cabs is the icing on the cake.

Worth....

I would say it is worth about £100...
the joysticks and buttons need changing for sanwa ones because the ones electrocoin put in thier cabs will be worn out....£40
The monitor is 10 years old so needs replacing with a hantarex polostar.......£200
The power supply is probably an original that also powers the monitor... I would also change this for a modern one before it blows up....£20
a 6 slot mvs board as yours sounds a bit dodgy....£100

£460 for a great cab.....

This is what I would do to the cab if I bought it....I have a couple of cabs and this is what I did with mine.....

Let me know when you want to sell.....

A bare neo branded jamma cab with no mvs board would sell for around £200 on ebay. The full kit ie. same as above but with clean and functioning mvs board (with none of the updated parts) sells for £300+. The last one vektorlogic sold on ebay (where the above cab was originally from) went for £399.

I've already had three offers at the £200 mark

To get it kitted out like you describe would be gorgeous though- although collectors like to keep the parts as original as possible

What the hell? I haven't sold on here for over a year- This is the Kizuna I bought off Buster but its a japanese cart with a non-original label that he sold me as a genuine US cartridge.

that is extremely unfair. Check my 100% positive ebay feedback under gozaimas (the same name I use everyhave for years both on ebay and here)where and - I have also had many many sales on the site and NOT ONCE have I ever been dishonest.

Besdies all of this I have not even dscribed what the kizuna cart is in this thread- simply thatI have a number of carts available that I bought off Buster Broon.

You are well out of order.

UPDATE:

Ok- I’ve gone back and looked all this up as there is nothing I hate more than this kind of stuff.

I’ve just gone back and checked my correspondence with buster from when he sold it to me. He originally sold me the cart as a US original cart- It wasn’t until I got it home that I noticed the cart had a Japanese yellow label- I challenged Buster on it and he did the decent thing and gave me a slight refund. However, we could not confirm whether it was a boot (my fear at the time) as I had no digital camera at that time and did not know how to recognise a boot cartridge. As a result I got a slight refund from buster and we treated it as if it was a Japanese cartridge with a non-original label. I’m sure Buster could vouch for this. Basically there is no way that buster could know whether it’s a boot or not unless he actually knew when he sold me the cart as a US original- something I’m sure he didn’t do as he seems like an honest guy. I now have a digital camera and could easily open up the cart and take some pics if the need arose: something I would have done when I came to sell it.

Additionally- looking back at our intended trade over a year ago- It was me who told you that: a) I bought it off buster, b) it didn't have a original label so you should check with him. To say I tried to sell it to you without telling you it was *possibly* either a boot or a jap cart with US label is downright lying. The fact you come in here and cast aspersions onm me without checking your facts makes me feel sick. Its just so unfair.

EDIT: see my update in above post

Its extremely unfair to throw my reliablity into question when I'm one of the most reliable sellers around. I am proud of my 100% ebay feedback and everyone I have dealt with here (including jamie this week and lashujin last month) will vouch for my credibility.

Anyways-It has nothing to do with this thread

Just about what I was gonna say. VektorLogik is not something base your price on.

It wasn't vektorlogic's price- they were the seller and that is how much it went for on ebay- the price being set by the market rather than the retailer...

Meh, some pretty unnecessary trashing and off-topic stuff in this thread guys. Looks like a nice cab to me and worth the £200-£300 price tag, give the guy a break eh?

These cabs are very well made, far better than the normal kebab shop style 1's

Also last time I was at UDC (next door to Electrocoin) they had just sold some for £500.
