I have a sit down Neo 29 cabinet (JPN) with a 6 slot MVS board. Iwanted to switch to a 4 slot MVS board as this fits better on the plywood. But after trying two different 4 slot MVS boards I could not get the static sound to go away, even a low volume. If I replace with my 6 slot board all is well. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Hmm..
Well, the first thing I'd do is clean the edge connectors on the two 4 slot mother boards real well.

Maybe the jamma harness is not making good contact with the edge connector on the mother boards..
