Some actors portray a character on the T.V. and/or one the big screen that grow on us. The nature of the character is unique, original or that the actor was able to play the character to perfection they're able to draw in viewers to that character. What happens if that character grows on us too much? When that actor tries to play a different role is doesn't work out well because they're automatically doubed as the character that they became famous with. Who do which actor you think is stuck in a certain role?

Jason Alexander - He will forever be George from Seinfeid. He played his character to extremely well. When I see him on T.V. I don't see Jason, I see George.

Tobie Maguire - No matter what he does he will always be known as Spider-man

Hugh Jackman - Wolverine. Nuff said.

Adam West - Batman. Need I say more?

Will Smith - He been in great movies like Bad Boys, Men In Black and I, Robot but I can't never get the character he played in the Fresh Prince out of my head.

My favorite typecast actor is Ed O'neil as Al Bundy in Married With Children. He will forever be Al Bundy even thought he tries to play serious cop roles in stuff like Bone Collector and the new Dragnet.

Long live Al Bundy and his 4 touchdown in 1 game for Polk High. :make_fac:

I think it's pretty hard to play any other role when you've portrayed Jesus or something.

And no matter what role he plays, Bruce Campbell will always be Ash (though he may have a different name).

Speaking of Jason Alexander, have you gone back and watched Pretty Woman? Not a very convincing rapist. lol Just like Jeff Goldblum wasn't a very convincing thug in Death Wish.

For some reason Jeff Goldblum has a, knack for SciFi moives. I can't put my finger on it but he, seems perfect for them. Just as much as Christopher Walken is good at playing the bad guy in any moive i see.

Yeah, most of his most notable roles have him playing a scientist. Buckaroo Banzai, The Fly, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Independence Day. I know I'm forgetting some there.

Anyone who was in Star Wars or Star Trek, besides Harrison Ford.

I mean come on, Leonard Nimoy could cure AIDS and cancer, and he would still be Spock to everyone.

Carrie Fisher could save me from a burning building and the whole time she was carrying me I would be remembering her bikini scene in Return of the Jedi.

Elijah Wood - Frodo

Sean Astin - Rudy (even after 3 Lord of the Rings movies, I still couldn't look past the fact that he should have been in a Notre Dame uniform)

Lou Diamond Phillips - Ritchie Valens (everytime I see him in another role, I automatically say "Hey, it's that La Bamba guy")

Steve Buscemi - crazy/weird guy (Also one of my favorite actors)

Bruce Willis
---Doesen't matter what he does, He's the serendipitious cop John McClaine as far as I'm concerned, and I'm always waiting for a final DIE-HARD film that was actually worth a shit since With A Vengeance royally sucked.

M. Emmet Walsh
----He's been in hundreds of films, a character actor that Hollywood uses but to me he'll always be "Dewey" the foul mouthed pudgy news reporter in Red Scorpion opposite Dolph Lundgren as Nikolai Petrovski.

Victor Garber
---I'm sure the dude is versatile but after 3 seasons of ALIAS, if I ever ran into the guy I'd have to make sure and not refer to him as Jack Bristow... To me he's Jenny Garner's {Syndey Bristow} CIA daddy for all purposes. The dude is a stoic pimp though.

Dennis Hopper
-Lets face it, in almost very movie he's in, he's always playing some kind of psychotic nut. He's a great actor though.

Ed Harris
-Same basic role with different variations.

Ed O'Neil
-Its been said several times I know, but he will always be remembered for his role as Al Bundy. Polk High's greatest fullback to ever play the game.

John Travolta
-Always playing the bad guy. His role in Pulp Fiction is one of them.

Can't argue with that, every time i think Adam West. Batman comes to mind he will never escape that type cast. Still i like him playing as the mayor in FamilyGuy,acting paranoid and stuff funny shit. I hope Adam West is, brought back for the, next season of FamilyGuy. :multi_co:

James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano. Role fits him perfectly. I couldn't see him doing anything else as the other movies he was in weren't even close.
