Mega Neo question

Excuse my lack of knowledge in this subject.. I've always wanted a Neo Geo home system for as long as I can remember, except I was never able to afford one (like 95% of the kids out there) until now.

My question is.. Does SNK still pump out a limited number of AES systems per year? Are the Mega Neo systems offered at the NeoStore pre-owned?

Considering the age of the system, I'm not sure what to think.

If I get the Mega Neo, can it play both US and Japanese games?

Any info is appreciated.

No new systems are being made. Carts have no region lock-outs.
