Okay, I just got done with my workout today with the guys, and I got a new max today. 270. Not bad for a 175 guy! lol. It was hard, and I barely made it, but I did it. I don't think I'll have a new max for a while (we go 5lbs at a time).

Of course, I don't rep that. I can't. I rep 185 as warm ups, but mostly do 205 and 225 as reps. I do burnouts on 155, but nothing less than that unless I'm doing pushups.

So, I know fat guy will answer, and bury my max, but what about the others? What are you benching, if at all?

Spike

Edit: No machines. I'm talking real life bench press, here.

My max was around 270-280 when I stopped.

I'm 5'11 and 165. I'm don't really remember if I was heavier at the time or not.

I never tried a full out max before, but the most I've benched is around 135 with around 5 reps. Not too bad. I weigh around 172.

Well, I think the average man is supposed to do at least his own body weight. But 135 isn't terrible. Lord knows I have a friend that comes over now and then and tries to work out with us. He's over 200 (fat) and he can't do much more than 135, either.

495lbs[10 x 45lb weights + 45lb bar], which honestly isn't that big of a deal considering i weigh 264lbs and there's people out there who can bench twice their own weight.
