Damn Sweet!

If I didn't already have my Nomad and JVC Xeye, I'd be all over that CDX.

Wow. Great work D-Lite.

Excellent seller here folks, buy it up.

I have an US CDX, and an European Megadrive 2 scart cable works with it, so I get RGB from it in my scart TV. So would it be possible to use an external JROK? Anyway the RGB picture doesn't look that good in this system, maybe a "pure RGB" mod could be done like in the AES.

Genesis Model 1 SOLD!

Also, Amano, an external JROK is possible with the CDX, for sure as RGB, +5, composite are all available through the DIN connector. But it ain't cheap.

Actually, there is a commercial adapter specifically for the Genesis. I have it somewhere, similar to the XNEO-1 I think. Same company.

@Caris, thanks for the compliments.

Now someone buy that CDX!

How much would it be to mod a CDX? I would want all the mods you described above--including the region mod and the 50/60hz mod. Would that be possible? Your site didn't say if you had either of these latter mods on a Sega CDX.

Let me know.

Jon, there's a very good reason for that.

Basically, as you can find on my site (Sega mods>S-Video>CDX "here"), the CDX is a foul beast to work with. I mean, FOUL. There ain't no space in it as it is. I had to remove the battery compartment to be able to even do S-Video. There is a chance I could fit very small switches for the 50/60 and US/JP mods, but to tell you the truth, I have no interest in doing so. The chances of massively screwing up the little beast are too high and as such the cost of doing the mod would be higher than anyone would probably want to pay.

But in the future Jon, I might something slick that I know you're interested in ;)

The other day on the screen savers I saw them over clock a genny . It looked easy just a jumper . You should do that mod also. Its suppose to let it run perfect. They showed sonic the hedgehog when there was a lot going on it slowed down and on the overclocked one it handled a lot more sprites on the screen without slowdown.

Looked into it and it's relatively straight forward. You can grab 13.4Hz off the board for better performance, but apparently 12 Hz is just right, but not available on the PCB. I will have some 12 Hz oscillators in about 4 hours :D

Good suggestion FatSlice.

Nice mods. I was also looking at overclocking my MD. I can do the 50/60 & Language mods, but how difficult is doing the OC mod compared?

D-LITE any work on mod the 32x to s-video

Looked into it and not gonna happen. Doesn't seem easy, if it's even possible :crying:

Oh, and the overclock mod is fairly straightforward, but you will need to buy an oscillator. The OC really messes with a Genesis 2, so I think it's best to stick with the model 1's.
