Axe it. There's really no reason for it. I say turn it into an online gaming section. With the surge of SNK games coming out for XBL, and CvS2, it would be a lot more productive than the stale topics in there already. If people want to set up matches for Kaillera, XBL, or any other type of online game, it'd be nice to have a section where it could all be done.

I know, I know. "But Wes, this is a Neo Geo site.. not an Xbox, PC, etc site." Well keeping a stale forum for the sake of continuity of the overall theme of the site is stupid. I think it'd get a lot more use than it'd be getting now, plus it's not totally unrelated to Neo Geo when you can play Neo Geo ports to the Xbox online (kof 2002/2003, SvC, etc). Plus, it'd fit nicely under the gaming section where SvC is. Just change the name and axe all the threads in it. Simple.

This is the best suggestion ever.

The xbox live thread in unrelated is good stuff, but a forum dedicated to setting up and talking about online matches would be fantastic. I'd always much rather play against people from here than some random cheeseball. It'd be good to setup mini tourneys and such too.

Hope the mods consider this

This idea owns cause we can finally find ways to interact by other means. Personal meet ups etc. And not have to deal with getting full gay ass photoshoots.

Yeah one forum for online play is a good idea, rather than a single stickied topic.

Yar .... 'tis a good idea. I could sort of see the reason why the SVC forum was created in the first place, with all the buzz about it and everything, but it has outlived its usefulness. Out with the old and in with the new.

Online Gaming Forum sounds cool. ng.com could need a bit of active gaming anyway since the Gameplay and KoF forums are slow as hell right now.

This would also be a good place to post hiscore tables and stuff like that.

Cool enough :)

They just need to merge 24-bit and general forums, and merge gameplay and KOF forums now.

I would be a bigger fan of:

- turning 24-bit into Neo Geo CD as was previously discussed
- creating an Atomiswave forum
- creating an Other Video Games forum - cleaning up Unrelated a bit. I'd rather go to a forum looking for VG info and not be bombarded with political threads.

Perhaps merge Gameplay and KoF as stated, use the new space for Atomiswave (but add that under Hyper 64 in the other platforms category).

Yes, call the section Other Systems, and put: "General" (as your "Other Video Games"), "NGPC", "Hyper64" and "Atomiswave" there.

I agree with almost all of that, except dump the Hyper64 forum, there is no need for one. It was a DOA system that never had more than a tiny handful of games on it, which were for the most part pretty mediocre anyway (ugly blocky PS1 style graphics).

Oh and there are so few Atomiswave games out, and that system's future is pretty uncertain right now, that it may be premature to create a forum just for that platform. I personally think it will die on the vine, but time will tell.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You suck. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you haven't spent much -- if any -- time playing the 4 fighters. All fun. Don't waste a post denying it; I won't believe you. And they were well above ugly blocky PS1 style graphics...they were more like ugly blocky N64 style; but improving with each game. And still fun. Sure, there's not as much said in the 64 forum as I'd like; but when something is said, it's interesting.

To sum up: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Sorry to upset you, but I really don't think any of the H64 games are all that great. And yes I have seen them in action, through video clips and at a friend's house. They're just ugly and not much fun to play, to me. If they had simply upgraded the 2D capabilities of the Neo Geo hardware for the H64 hardware, it would have been another matter, but since they went to a fairly lame 3D approach, the games just don't cut it at all. I'd take an N64 system and its games over an H64 system anyday. I mean, 5 games, and one that you can never play at all (Road's Edge)?!?! What's the point? :oh_no:

Now I will admit that the arcade hardware is impressive looking, with the big solidly built enclosed PCBs, but beyond that, well . . . meh. :annoyed:

...would have definitely been better, I agree. But Buriki is completely unique and fun, I enjoy Wild Ambition more than MotW (not kidding), and the 2 SS games have great atmosphere for what they were and I like them about as much as SS4 which they most closely resemble. Seeing them in action isn't enough. Play them some more (a suggestion, not trying to order you around or anything).

Awesome suggestion, I'm glad it materialized.

I think that the Hyper 64, Should be there for everything else like other consoles. Pocket should not only be exclusive for the NGPC, what about the GBA, GP32, or Wonderswan?

the 24 bit should be left there just for old times sake, or better yet, rename it SNK systems and subtitle it, Neo Geo CD, AES, MVS, Hyper64, Crystal System, etc.
