I have been using one for 6 months now, and i would just like to know can they really damage your AES or is it just people scaremongering.

Have you or do you know anyone who has blown up their system?

Convertors Rock man, but are they too good to be true?

they laugh in the face of minty mint collectors and SNK rip off merchants.

When the Phantom is naked (bare boards) it's really easy to insert incorrectly. Slap a cut down old AES cart shell on it, and it's no harder on your AES than a regular cart if used properly.

Properly means grab the Phantom, put the MVS cart on the Phantom (arrow to the front), and then insert into the AES. BAD THINGS could happen (severe board stress) if you put the Phantom in the AES, and then put the MVS cart on the Phantom. That's just wrong.

not talkin about brute force

i dont just mean causing damage by force and stress,
Can it blow up your aes by sucking on power

Some early disc drives for the super nes could blow up the system

the later versions had their own power supplies.

The shear size of the towering phantom and game scares me, i mean its fucking huge theres alot of shit inside all that, sucking the life out of my aes.

The only things I know of is cart slot stress and improper insertion IF you do not place your Phantom in an AES cartridge shell. That rumor about your NGHS blowing up is a lie.

So theres no problem with me starting a MVS cart collection and using them through the phantom all the time?

I think that the way 2 go, cos im more of a player than a collector
I get a buzz out of the game and not the packaging.

One board (prog board) is mearly a trace re-route, so it sucks no extra juice. The other board (char board) has one of the CMC encryption chips and a logic IC on it, which you would find on any current AES cart.

So no, it won't destroy your Neo. However, if you beat the Phantom-1 into the cart slots with a hammer, then yes, you would probably destroy both.

Very good!

I love the games too, so I have a nice, shiny MVS. However, a stck of carts looks a mess, so I bought a load of shockboxes to put the best ones in - check the sig!
It's all about the gameplay, but a nice box makes them look real nice on a shelf.
Shockboxes mean I get great games and a great looking collection too.

Oh, and I have a super-fit girlfriend too. Ain't I the lucky one!

My advice would be to sell the home system and aes carts, and phantom Get a supergun and start a good MVS collection. Sounds like that may be more suitable to your requirements.

And you feel the need to brag about it. On a Neo Geo website. What, do you think you're the only one of us who has a girlfriend? What a joke.
